Why Fossil Rock?

Together with educating young minds, we're also passionate about raising awareness and promoting the conservation of our planet's precious natural treasures. South Australia's Nilpena Ediacara National Park is home to some of the world's most significant Ediacaran fossils, yet many people remain unaware of their existence. By introducing children to these ancient wonders at an early age, we not only stimulate their imagination and curiosity but also instil in them a sense of appreciation and responsibility for our planet's rich geological heritage. Through Fossil Rock, we aim to inspire the next generation of young explorers and conservationists, fostering a deep connection to the natural world and a commitment to preserving it for future generations.

We acknowledge the Adnyamathanha people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Fossil Rock was filmed. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognise their deep cultural, spiritual, and historical connection to this land.
